postnatal midwifery services
I am a Registered Midwife (UTS) and Registered Nurse (UTS) with a Master of Public Health (UNSW) and a Master of International Public Health (UNSW). I am also a PhD candidate at Western Sydney University researching midwives’ personal experiences of pregnancy and childbirth and the impact of their experience on their professional practice.
I have always found joy in helping new mothers with breastfeeding and other cares of their newborn. My own experience has taught me the importance of good postnatal care and support from a trusted maternity care provider. I feel we put a lot of emphasis on the antenatal and labour and birth care, and not nearly enough thought to our postnatal support network.
That’s why I am committed to caring for and supporting new parents in adjusting to life with their new baby, including helping mothers with their recovery in Sydney's Eastern and Inner City suburbs.
In addition to this, I also help with reviewing medical records and writing a letter of complaint if you were dissatisfied with the maternity care you received in hospital. Please get in touch with me via email (hello@sharonstoliar.com) if you would like to access any of the services listed below.
